Perpignan: The Nativity Scene of the City remains in place, tranche the administrative justice

The Human Rights League had sued the town hall in summary proceedings before the administrative court of for an attack on secularism.

The city of Perpignan, as well as those of Béziers and Beaucaire, was attacked on Tuesday December 17 before the administrative courts, for having installed Nativity crèches in their town hall or nearby. The three municipalities managed by the far right would have disregarded the principle of secularism, estimated the Human Rights League (LDH).

This Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the administrative court of Montpellier ruled, like last year, and rejected the appeal filed by the LDH against the Pessebre exhibited at Place de La Loge in Perpignan.
