The contract binding the Métropole de , owner of the building Exchange center of Lyon Perrache (CELP), and the Apsys-Quartus group, winner of the CELP call for requalification projects, was validated during the metropolitan council of December 16.

This validation allows the project to transformation to continue. This contract firstly contains the promise of a construction lease for a period of 99 years which entrusts the Civil Construction Sales Company CELP 360 (SSCV), with the reconversion of part of the building hub multimodal from Lyon Perrache.

Built in 1976, this building with a total surface area of ​​25,750 m2 is obsolete. Actions must be taken to improve energy performance, strengthen the quality of places, offer new uses and facilitate connections between the north and south of the Lyon Peninsula.

Preparatory work for the Lyon Perrache Exchange Center will start in the first quarter of 2025

The contract also includes the works contract, up to9.2 million euros, to enable the Metropolis of Lyon to carry out the necessary interventions on the public domain and the preliminary demolitions inside the building.

As a whole, the building rehabilitation work are estimated at 140 million euros by SCCV CELP 360. The project management team is made up of Dietmar Feichtinger architects, Exndo architectures, Alep heritage architects and BASE landscape and urban planning.

The preparatory work will be launched at first quarter 2025 for the opening of the new Lyon Perrache exchange center in 2028.
