Thanks to a partnership with the store Emma’s Thrift Shopthis project aims to combine responsible consumption, solidarity and accessibility.
A local initiative for sustainable fashion
More than 300 articles – sweaters, jackets, coats, baby clothes and even bags – are now available at low prices, from €3. The pieces offered, carefully selected, are in excellent condition, guarantee the initiators of the project. Coats, for example, do not exceed €13.
“This partnership marks a new step towards more responsible consumption and accessible to all,” say the supermarket’s owners, Mr. and Mrs. Boissier. By integrating second-hand clothing into their departments, they want to make their customers aware of the ecological impact of their clothing choices, while making these alternatives accessible to as many people as possible.
A collaboration driven by a united approach
Behind this initiative is Emma’s Trisa structure specializing in the collection and sorting of textiles. Each year, the association processes more than 2,000 tons of clothing from the 850,000 tonnes placed on the French market. Philippe Prud’homme, president of Tri d’Emma, explains: “In France, a huge quantity of clothes ends up in waste. Our mission is to offer them a second life while creating a positive social impact. »
Le Tri d’Emma is not limited to recycling: it is also part of a logic of professional integration. Of the 30 employees of the structure, 20 are in the integration process. “This project allows people who are far from employment to find a professional activity while participating in a circular economic model,” underlines Philippe Prud’homme.
A united and scalable economic model
The partnership between Emma’s Thrift Shop and the Netto supermarket was created thanks to the involvement of a manager of Tissages de Charlieu, also an administrator of Tri d’Emma. This innovative collaboration could serve as a model: “If it is successful, we hope to extend this concept to other brands,” confides the team.
At the same time, the town hall of Roanne and other local actors welcome this initiative which contributes to a more united and sustainable economy.
Quality clothing at the heart of daily shopping
With this partnership, the Netto supermarket is transforming the daily lives of its customers, by offering an economical and eco-responsible option directly on the shelves. A way to integrate sustainable consumption into the mundane act of shopping, while supporting a project with strong human value.
