OnePlus, announces the official launch of the OnePlus 13R in France. This new model completes the OnePlus 13 series which is expected in early 2025.
The OnePlus 13R takes up the aesthetic codes of its big brother, the OnePlus 13, with a thin and elegant design. It has a flat screen integrated into a body only 8mm thick (thanks carbon-silicon battery).
Front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, the same as on the Oppo Find X8 Pro. Its outline is made of aluminum. On the back, it features a finish “evoking star trails”explains OnePlus.
A OnePlus 12 brought up to date
Under the hood, we find the technical characteristics of a high-end smartphone from… 2024. Yes, no Snapdragon 8 Elite here, OnePlus reserves it for its spearhead, the OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 13R is powered by a still valiant Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the same one that equipped the OnePlus 12 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra which we named smartphone of the year.
On the photo side, OnePlus emphasizes versatility with a triple lens on the back. The brand promises quality shots, in particular thanks to the integration of new features such as “Clear Burst” for burst shots and “Action Mode” to capture rapid movements.
Battery life is also supposed to be a strong point of the OnePlus 13R, thanks to its 6000 mAh battery. Enough to hope to last more than a day on a single charge.
Prices unknown, but a pre-order offer
The OnePlus 13R will officially launch on January 7, 2025, alongside the OnePlus 13 and a new version of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 earbuds. Pricing and availability details will be announced on that date.
OnePlus specifies that for the launch of its new range, «
customers will be able to prepay 50 € to benefit from an additional reduction of 50 € and get a gift worth up to 279 €. The balance can be paid between January 7 and 11. »
