The tradition dates from its opening. Since 2015, the Maison de la BD has celebrated Christmas for a dedicated afternoon.
Saturday, December 21, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., several authors will be present to sign their recently released books: Claire Godard (The dragon’s shadow), Chun-Liang Yeh (Pi, Po, Pierrot), Ida (Kamalari) Moon Li (Ilenter), Virginia Roger (Mamie Cocotte gets involved), Michel Maraone and Maxime Schmitt (The Oak and the Grigou), as well as Titwane (War photographers et The Watchman). Two publishing houses of children’s literature, A Blue Hairbased in Blois, and HongFei, based in Amboise, will make the trip.
Workshops, signings and readings
“People will be able to take advantage of this to do their Christmas shopping, smiles Bruno Genini, director of the Maison de la BD. There will be something for adults but also for children, with children’s books. »
A manufacturing workshop around the book series Funny little creatures, which was entitled to an exhibition as part of the BD Boum festival, at the end of November, and an event around comic board games are planned. A comic reading, narrated by Pauchette and illustrated by Rui-Yi Fang, Taiwanese author in residence at the Maison de la BD, will also be offered at 4 p.m.
This day will also be an opportunity to discover the two exhibitions currently presented: one around the work of David Prudhomme, who chaired the last edition of bd Boum, and the other on comics Kamalarisigned Ida, inspired by the life of a young Nepalese girl sold into slavery at the age of 6. The Maison de la BD will then be closed for three weeks, before launching the new year when it will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
