After having obtained before the 2024-2025 season begins one of the two coveted places in the Centre-Val de Loire league to appear in the elite U15 championship, the ADA showed in this first phase that this confidence was perfectly justified . A great recognition for the work and passion of the club’s youth coaches, of which Jean-Claude Tornoczky, coordinator and sports referent, is the symbol.
“There is so much talent in our squad”
This former player who played for a long time in the first division of the Hungarian championship, his native country, could have found a club of the same level when he arrived in France. However, this did not happen. After playing for a while at Châteauroux, it was in this club that he took his first steps as a coach after having completed the various training courses to obtain this diploma.
It was in 2018 that he joined the neighboring department of Loir-et-Cher, attracted by the project that the ADA wanted to set up for its training center, of which Philippe Sudre would be the first manager. After having been in charge of the elite U18s and the regional U17s, he was then directed towards the regional U15s and the training of the other young people of the club, also working in schools with convincing results, particularly with the national U15s who are shining brightly. a thousand lights.
“I have had these U15s under my control for two years now, 80% of whom were trained at the club, explains Jean-Claude Tornoczky. With my assistant Théo Le Brech, we are lucky to have a great group. For us, it’s blessed bread. This success that we know today comes from all the work we have done upstream and we can be proud of it. Ten matches, ten victories is the big and beautiful surprise of the moment. But there is so much talent in our squad that it only half surprises me. »
Develop an even stronger group
Of the 48 teams involved in this national championship, only CEP Lorient did as well as Blésois in terms of results. “These young people surprise me a little more every day with their maturity and they understood that there was something enormous to do. The goal will be to develop an even more solid collective and when there is individual talent like the brilliant Ethan N’Siéte-Loupé who was French champion last year with Tours and who remains in 32 matches without defeat , it’s even better. »
For this second phase which will include four groups of six – where the first four will compete in the final four -, on the Blois side, we obviously hope to go as far as possible even if the club has inherited the solid training of CEP Lorient, but also of Mans, Rennes, Nantes and Tours BC. The Blésois coach is confident. “I prefer this kind of teams, even if we are going to have to face Lorient, rather than coming up against teams from Île-de-France. We will take the matches step by step knowing that we will be expected by everyone, in order to write a beautiful page in the history of the club. » And why not the most beautiful. This is all the bad we wish for this team.
