What are your feelings about this historic strike?
David Daublain: It’s damaging first of all for customers, even if we worked to ensure that they had information upstream, and then on the ground, at the main points. And then it’s damaging for the whole company, because despite the meetings and discussions (with the union representative, Editor’s note), it couldn’t come to fruition.
What is the punctuality rate of Kicéo buses currently?
This is data that we do not have, because the ticketing tool does not allow us to know it. Monitoring the lead-delay rate is not its vocation. And there is no operating support system at the moment. We are working on a new system which will be implemented in the first half of 2025. It will provide customers with real-time information, knowing what time the next bus arrives. In 2021-2022, we were at 60% punctuality in 2021-2022 (under the former delegatee, Editor’s note). Currently, the network does indeed have certain lines and certain timetables on which it is complicated.
Drivers and users denounce regular delays. What do you suggest?
The proposals are, on lines 4 and 7, to review certain travel times and commercial times. We have recommendations, we discuss them with the agglomeration, and we look at how we can implement that. There are other lines that will need to be worked on, I am thinking in particular of line 8. And that, for the summer, or even for the start of the school year in September 2025.
Will you request a budget extension from the agglomeration?
We will have to rethink the lines and see where there is a need to put resources back and then perhaps there are fewer resources to put in other places. This will be discussed with the city.
