Another drama last summer
Last summer, the Meldois penitentiary center had already had to deal with the death of a man, recognized guilty on August 16 of “facts ofsexual assaultaggravated violence and arrest, kidnapping, kidnapping or arbitrary detention.” Sentenced to three years suspended, he should not have returned behind bars.
The administrative document filled out by the prosecution at the end of the hearing indicated an erroneous statement: continued detention. The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office, in Seine-Saint-Denis, opened a judicial investigation on September 10.
