The gendarmerie launches a call for witnesses, a little over a month after the serious traffic accident which occurred on the evening of Thursday October 31, 2024 in La Salvetat-Lauragais. That evening, a vehicle traveling on the RD20the axis linking Auriac-sur-Vendinelle to Loubens-Lauragais, had hit a tree between the places called “Les Gascous” and “L’Ormeau”.

Among the three victims present in the car and taken care of by emergency services, a woman aged around forty was very seriously injured. She was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in .

The gendarmerie seeks to identify two motorists

Responsible for the investigation, the Lanta gendarmes are today seeking to find out more about the circumstances surrounding this accident. “Only one vehicle is involved, a black VW GOLF. The driver lost control and hit a tree located on the side of the lane opposite the direction of travel. A first person stopped shortly after the incident and contacted emergency services. She is quickly joined by two other road users who also help while waiting for help,” the call for witnesses first states.

The gendarmerie explains that it is seeking to identify thea third person who stopped at the scene of the accidentspecifying that she was traveling on the RD20 from the town of Auriac-sur-Vendinelle and that she is a woman. Other person with whom the investigators would like to be able to contact: “ a motorist who crossed the vehicle involved moments before its driver lost control.

The gendarmerie specifies that any person likely to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this accident is also invited to contact the Lanta brigade by calling05 62 18 63 13.
