1. Julie Chupin. Three years after her fine fifth place at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, the archer from Moncoutant was again on the Olympic shooting range, in Paris, on the 50m compound bow. On Saturday August 31, she was beaten in the quarter-finals by the Iranian Fatemeh Hemmati (140-143).
2. Serena Dolci. A 14-year-old girl, resident of Azay-le-Brûlé, Serena Dolci is enrolled at the Crèche Flèchoise. In October, she became French champion of Beursault shooting (archery) for the third time. By the end of the afternoon, she had increased her own regional record to 40 honors, 113 points and 28 rosaries.
3. Lélia Gouget. The young woman with autistic disorders, who practices swimming, athletics and table tennis, has had a year full of decorations. From May to July, she collected no less than nine medals and broke two records during the French championships in different disciplines.
4. Hugo Hay. The athlete from Sèvre Bocage AC reached his Olympic final goal of 5,000. He finally took sixteenth place without really being able to defend his chances. Le Bressuirais had an eventful Paris Olympic Games, with already a scramble in the semi-final. He also had to apologize for old unacceptable tweets.
5. Déborah Iszraelewicz. The Niort hockey player won her 24th with the Remparts de Tourse title of French ice hockey champion. The former captain of the France team, with 200 national selections in total, was rewarded in July by the federation for her entire career. She is also involved in the Niort Hockey Club.
6. Thomas Gachignard. The young cyclist, originally from Saint-Pompain, is the first Deux-Sévrien to have completed the Tour de France in its post-war version. Under the colors of the Vendée team TotalEnergies, Thomas Gachignard also won a bronze medal at the French championships.
