Arab World Institute

The Electro Nights meeting at the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA) returns for its fifth edition, led by the Musique de Fëte collective. This year, the program promises a vibrant exploration of electronic music inspired by the Arab world and its diasporas, merging with other sound universes. Among the headliners, Kiddy Smile, an unclassifiable figure on the electro scene with multiple hats, comes to defend his latest EP Make Love. DJ and producer Aly Mrabet, pillar of the Tunisian night scene, offers an eclectic mix between House, Afro and unbridled electro, enriched by his multiple musical projects. The talented Kasbah forges bridges between oriental rhythms and club spirit, with a unique style that he shaped during his residencies in emblematic places of the electro scene. The Franco-Lebanese duo Tales & Ahlam takes listeners on a sonic journey from Paris to Beirut, via Chicago and Oran. Finally, La Louuve, muse of the Algerian electro scene, imposes her devastating energy with powerful mixes where raï rubs shoulders with Maghreb electro and resistance music, to explode the BPMs in an effervescent dance. A new program full of promise, which could well bring back a wave of heat from the desert and warm up the Parisian winter for one night.
