Faced with the increase in the number of passengers on the Vaï shuttle network, two lines have been launched and six additional stops set up. The timetable of the shuttle has also been extended.
A new public transport system in Embrun. Faced with the increase in needs and the 70,000 passages recorded in 2023, the Vaï shuttle system is expanding.
The community of communes of Serre-Ponçon Embrun has set up two lines and six additional stops since Monday, December 2, including five in the Entraigues commercial area.
The frequency has also been improved, with a passage every 45 minutes on line 1 and every hour on line 2, compared to 1h30 previously.
Co-financing by companies
The timetable is also extended, with the first arrivals in the city center from 8 a.m. and the last returns until 6:30 p.m., compared to 5:30 p.m. previously.
The lake is served directly, without connection, from the station. From June to September, a larger vehicle with greater transport capacity will be made available.
Voted and implemented in July 2023, the “mobility payment” makes it possible to finance half of the “Vaï” system. Companies with 11 or more employees co-finance the shuttle transport system, the rest being the responsibility of the community of municipalities of Serre-Ponçon Embrun.
