During a week dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, the Academy of Guadeloupe questions how it will be able to use this new instrument to respond to the challenges of the future. Guadeloupe is also the first to organize such a seminar. Because he must now express to everyone, first and foremost the students, that Artificial Intelligence can never replace human intelligence. An important issue so that future generations always have a critical mind when faced with all these challenges

A Senate report recalls that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a term that appeared in 1956 which, in its current sense, designates a computer program (algorithm) based on automatic learning, or machine learning. …

But the report also emphasizes thatdespite the efforts made to integrate AI into education,
The appropriation of tools by actors in the education system – teachers, students,
establishments –, far from being systematic, still appears very uneven.
An opinion corroborated by that expressed by UNESCO in its analysis on Artificial Intelligence in schools: Artificial intelligence (AI) offers potential to meet a number of major challenges in education, innovate in teaching and learning practices…However, rapid technological developments inevitably bring multiple risks and challenges, as their pace has so far outpaced that of policy debates and regulatory frameworks.

A seminar which therefore takes place throughout the week and which was wanted by the Academy because it knows that, precisely, on the ground, in academic services as in educational establishments, the arrival of Artificial Intelligence generates more fear than it reassures. This is because everyone does not yet imagine what this will now entail in the exercise of their respective functions. Fears also because everyone knows that in this area, students are already more advanced in AI than teachers or schools.
We must therefore, first of all, reassure them and then arouse their interest in what advantages this technology can have for everyone. Multiple benefits in all areas. There is no shortage of examples to prove this.
