A 24-year-old man killed his partner on Monday evening at his home in Aulnay-sous- (Seine-Saint-Denis). According to our information, he allegedly hit his victim's head using a candlestick, before fleeing in a vehicle. The man finally surrendered to the police a few hours later at the same place, according to the Actu 17 website.

The events took place Monday evening shortly before 8 p.m. According to another source, emergency services went to the victim's home, in the Merisiers district, and took care of the 29-year-old victim who was in cardiorespiratory arrest, lying on the ground between his apartment and the corridor. The woman was still breathing according to our information but was unconscious.

According to the first hypotheses, a femoral artery would hardly have been damaged by the violence of the blows to the victim's legs. The state of the apartment in any case indicated a violent altercation. An autopsy had to be carried out quickly to determine the causes of death.

A crying child was sitting next to the woman when the police arrived, alerted for domestic violence. He was entrusted to child welfare at the Robert-Ballanger hospital center in Aulnay.

The woman died shortly after 9 p.m., according to the first source. The man, after fleeing in a black BMW, finally returned to the scene of the crime around 1 a.m., according to Actu 17.

He was arrested and taken into custody. The latter had already been questioned on October 15 by investigators from the police station, as part of an investigation into domestic violence.
