Barely started, the month of December promises to be chaotic, marked by strikes. This Thursday, December 5, the majority of public service union organizations (CGT, CFDT, UNSA, FSU, Solidaires, CFE-CGC and FA-FP) called for “a day of action, rallies, demonstrations and strike throughout the country”. These movements follow disagreements with their supervisory minister, Guillaume Kasbarian, on the reforms envisaged to generate revenue..
The unions intend to make their anger heard through demonstrations against the plan to increase from one to three the number of waiting days in the public service, the non-payment of Gipa, an exceptional bonus paid for purchasing power and the “reduction in compensation for days of sick leave”.
Strikes that will continue
The union plans to mobilize several more days in December and plans “three days of strike for three days of waiting”, December 11, 12 and 13.
But which sectors are affected by the strike on Thursday, December 5? Planet tells you more in its slideshow.
