The France Bleu Festival At Children's Level took place at the Halle Tropisme from November 28 to December 1, 2024 in Montpellier. Four days of workshops and shows around audio, sound creation and radio for children. A fun and educational approach to encourage young people to open their ears, whether to create podcasts, make sound effects for video games, listen to musical instruments, do sound quizzes or even create a radio show. An event organized by France Bleu Hérault since the creation of the column At Children's Level, produced by France Bleu Hérault journalist Claire Moutarde with students from Montpellier schools.
Among the workshops offered during the festival, Junior editorial staff of the France Bleu festival At children's level welcomed three groups of students; the 6th graders from the Françoise Combes college in Montpellier on Thursday, the students of the radio club from the Escholiers de la Mosson college on Friday and finally, on Saturday, children registered by their parents.
Each time, the workshop lasted the day, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. One day to produce a radio show recorded live at 4 p.m. The Junior Editorial team was installed in the company's premises NETIA Audio Software who creates automation and radio broadcasting software who opened a studio called The Capsule.
To supervise all these budding journalists, a great team led by Claire Moutarde, starting with Théo Ménudier, technician at France Bleu HéraultValentin Bertrand, journalist at Radio France and Marta, 3rd year intern. NETIA also mobilized its key forces, Imane Sadik, Julien Cantié, Pascal Lhullier, Romain Gauthier, Juliette Bernadou, Maïwenn Portmann and Emmanuel Duchemin. Speakers enriched the project, Dany-Laure Gnazaléwriter, author of adventure novels and children's books and Ananda Brizzi, poet. Finally, three students from the Montpellier journalism school ESJPRO Accompanying the children in their reports were Clara Munnier, Périne Sauvage and Louis Konlogntock.

This first show dedicated to tales and stories was carried out by the students of 6th grade at Françoise Combes college in Montpellier. The children created a sound story, recorded and set up a sidewalk microphone, filmed a report on the workshop offered by the Wow collective around their radio fiction Piletta Remix and hosted live Rudy Martel, responsible for sound books Benjamins Mediabased in Montpellier. Without forgetting the radio game to end the twenty minutes.

The second show was concocted by 4th and 3rd grade students from teen club of the Escoliers de la Mosson college in Montpellier. They spoke about their neighborhood to the mayor of Montpellier, Michaël Delafosse, who agreed to come, invited by the students. They were able to tell him what they like and what they don't like in their daily lives. Some chose to produce a report on the workshop thatUbisoft proposed during the festival when others recorded a sidewalk microphone on video games. Finally, we find a new story and a new quiz, this time on Artificial Intelligence.

The third broadcast is the fruit of the work of children registered in the Junior Writing workshop, many of whom are alumni (from previous years). You can listen to reports on the show Fabulous cuddly toy stories by Zoé Varrier, in partnership with France Inter, sidewalk microphones on what children discover during the festival and if they listen to the radio. A program partly devoted to Billy The Cast which offers “audio, educational and funny programs” for children with its creator Julien Moch and a report on the workshop Do you know how to plant cabbages? Without forgetting the sound surprises with three poems written, read and mixed by the children themselves, the story and the quiz on sounds.
