To meet the needs for management skills in the creative industries sector, Excelia Business School and Isart Digital are combining their expertise. From the start of the 2025 school year, students will have the opportunity to join a specific course which leads to obtaining a double degree: Master Grande Ecole from Excelia Business School and the RNCP level 7 title.Manager of Creative Strategy/Video Game Producer” from Isart Digital, ensuring recognition on the job market. Each year, 30 students (15 from Excelia Business School and 15 from Isart Digital) will have the opportunity to follow this course, the educational model of which integrates the lessons from both schools.
A double degree dedicated to management in the video game sector
Excelia Business School and Isart Digital formed an unprecedented partnership on November 29. The first brings its expertise in management, while the second delivers its specialization in the video game sector. The route will be structured as follows:
- The 1st year (Master 1) will be mainly dedicated to management modules provided by Excelia Business School, on its Paris campus. It will also include 175 hours of specialized courses in the field of video games, provided by Isart Digital (Paris campus).
- The 2nd year (Master 2) of specialization will focus on practical application and will take place entirely on the Isart Digital campuses. Students will be able to choose one of the following two paths:
– In French and on a work-study basis (2 days at school / 3 days at work) on the Paris campus,
– Full English track and full-time with an internship, on the Nice campus.
Complementary expertise between two recognized partners
This specialized course in video game management and production will allow students to obtain the Master Grande Ecole from Excelia Business School and the RNCP Level 7 Manager of Creative Strategy / Video Game Producer from Isart Digital. This program benefits on the one hand from the academic excellence of Excelia Business School in the field of management. On the other hand, it is nourished by the expertise in video games and 3D-VFX animation of Isart Digital (video game management & production, quality control, game data analytics, etc.) which is ranked 2nd best school in video game in the world, according to GAMEducation2024. Excelia Business School also puts its demands in favor of the ecological and social transition and requires its students that their end-of-study defense includes an in-depth section on the social and environmental impacts of video games.
Managers specialized in the creation and business of video games, highly sought after on the job market
The France 2030 sectoral needs study, Training and professions, published by the CNC underlines the “lack of available profiles“in managers trained for these creative industries, with very specific professions and uses.
This partnership is part of the deployment of the Paris-Cachan site policy. Since March 2024, Isart Digital has thus become, at the initiative of Excelia, an associate member of the Paris-Cachan Alliance for Science and Technology bringing together EPF, ESTP, Aivancity, ESITC and Excelia, the aim of which is to imagine creative initiatives both in terms of research and pedagogy.
