250 million euros: this is the amount of funding allocated in 2024 by the ARS to establishments and services in the medico-social sector, in , “including 94 million euros for the elderly and 145 million for disabled people”.

As the population ages, the ARS supported, in 2024, two real estate projects to restructure nursing homes and the creation of two centers of activity and adapted care: living spaces to accommodate patients suffering from Alzheimer's or neurodegenerative diseases. The agency also financially supported, for more than 5.3 million euros, the projects of the nursing homes of Valdahon, Saint-Vit, Valentigney and the reinforced accommodation unit dedicated to Alzheimer's patients in Pontarlier. In 2025, two new nursing homes, in Saint-Vit and Valdahon, will provide 138 additional places for vulnerable elderly people, indicates the regional health agency.

Support for nursing homes in difficulty
