A story of welding
Thus, on a part of its production coming off the line in 2022 and 2023, the brand noted that the boxes housing the front cameras, those used, in particular, for parking assistance, may have been incorrectly welded. This defect can, over time, lead to water infiltration, which could then lead to a short circuit.
Out of 1,868 cars circulating in France, the network must therefore check the conformity of the incriminated soldering and, if necessary, replace the front camera and its housing. Depending on the model and the intervention that will be necessary to undertake, the immobilization will last from around ten minutes to 3 hours.
In France, this operation, which is referenced 24SD-065, concerns ES 300h, LS 500h, NX 350h and 450h+, RX 450h+ and 500h, RZ 450e as well as UX 250h and 300e.
The manufacturer's largest SUV, named LX but never officially imported into our country, is also affected by this problem.
