E-Nov Mayotte was designed as a platform for exchange and discovery for players in the sector, allowing them to explore innovative digital tools intended to optimize patient care.
The day offered a series of conferences and interactive workshops around key themes such as e-health, cybersecurity and advances in Ségur du digital. These topics responded to the growing needs for the integration of technologies into medical and social practices, while emphasizing the protection of sensitive data.
In a rapidly evolving territory like Mayotte, where health challenges are numerous, this event marked an important step in the appropriation of digital tools. It allowed participants to enrich their knowledge, exchange with experts and discover concrete solutions to meet the needs of patients.
The health professionals present welcomed this initiative, which promises to lastingly transform practices in the region. We were able to interview Yrène Prat, head of GCS TESIS.
What motivated the organization of this first event on digital health in Mayotte?
Yrène Prat : The organization of this first event on digital health in Mayotte was motivated by the need to integrate local specificities into national programs. It is important to involve the actors who are the final targets of this roadmap. The event aims to raise awareness among health professionals, deploy tools adapted to the region and establish personalized support.
What concrete impacts do you hope to see in the daily lives of healthcare professionals and in patient care?
Yrène Prat : The objective is to simplify the daily lives of healthcare professionals while improving patient care. It saves time, for example, to identify a patient using their health card and quickly access their medical file. Improving coordination between healthcare professionals, thanks to digital tools, will allow for smoother continuity of care.
How is the collaboration between different actors such as the Digital Health Agency and the Mayotte Social Security Fund structured?
Yrène Prat : The collaboration is based on tripartite coordination between the Digital Health Agency (ANS), the ARS of Mayotte and the Social Security Fund (CSSM). The ARS supports us financially. Each actor plays a specific role, from national strategy to local implementation, avoiding duplication of initiatives for greater efficiency.
What challenges specific to the territory of Mayotte are you seeking to resolve using these digital tools?
Yrène Prat : The challenges specific to Mayotte include improving the security of exchanges between professionals, reducing delays in accessing care and better orientation of patients. Teleconsultation and digital patient guidance can relieve flow in establishments, while helping professionals to optimize the management of chronic cases, in particular thanks to tools like Via Trajectoire for patients with disabilities.
Do you plan to make this event a regular event? If yes, in what form?
Yrène Prat : The objective is to repeat this event every year to make it a lasting event, for the benefit of local actors. Our goal is to be able to repeat it next year and make the event sustainable.
What e-health tools/projects are presented?
Yrène Prat: Secure instant messaging (Pandalab Pro), for protected professional exchanges, Maypro-Santé, a directory of health services specific to Mayotte, Télé-AVC, for the management of cardiovascular accidents, Via Trajectoire, management module to direct patients to specialized establishments, computerized user file software (DUI) for the dematerialization of support for home help services.
These initiatives seek to fill the lack of support in the use of digital tools; many do not use them due to lack of support from their publishers. We are here to support them.
