Solidarity Night will take place on the night of January 23 to 24, 2025. During this operation, volunteer associations and Parisians will count the number of homeless people in the capital.
For eight years now, Paris town hall has been counting the name of Parisians on the street during the Solidarity Night, orchestrated using associations. Next to 2,000 volunteers et social workers roam the streets, RATP metro stations, SNCF stations, underground car parks, the Bois de Boulogne and Vincennes, and the surroundings of the ring road, to meet the homeless peopleidentify them and provide them with support. This year it will take place on January 23, 2025.
Every year, the Paris town hall lack of volunteers to carry out this important mission, and appeals to Parisians who wish it. THE inscriptions are possible for those over 18, until next January. The goal of this Solidarity Night is to better understand the profiles and needs of homelessin order to adapt the emergency and social arrangements as well as the accommodation needs of the capital.
4277 people sleeping outside in Paris were recorded in 2024, even more than the previous year, including 785 in the participating municipalities of the metropolis of Greater Paris. As in recent years, many communes from Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine are joining the event, in addition to the capital.
