127,093 euros in pledges in Haute-Vienne and 75,006 euros in Corrèze, compared to 74,275 in 2023. 300 manifestations were organized in 90 communes of Haute-Vienne and Corrèze this weekend for the Telethon. For the 5th time, the Corrèze company Tellis was the 36.37 call center with around a hundred employees and student volunteers mobilized.
The 38th edition of the Telethon, which began Friday evening, concluded during the night from Saturday to Sunday with a final prize pool of nearly 80 million euros for the benefit of research into rare genetic diseases, according to the AFM-Téléthon association. At the end of the meeting, in the middle of the night, the counter showed 79,801,520 euros, the organizers specified in the closing press release. The 2023 edition had collected a little more than 80 million euros at the end of the weekend and almost 93 million in the end. It was in 2006 that the counter reached its record, with more than 106 million euros.
The 36-37 remains open until next Friday to continue making donations. Last year, the 2023 Telethon counter climbed to 370,296 euros in Corrèze and 571,230 euros in Haute-Vienne.
