Departmental road 41 between Bonnetage and Le Luhier was the scene of a dramatic accident during the night from Saturday to Sunday. It was around 11:30 p.m. when, for reasons that remain to be established, two cars collided. Three people were involved in this collision.
In the first vehicle was a 22-year-old man. In cardiac arrest when help arrived, this resident of the area could not be resuscitated, despite the rapid intervention of SMUR. In the car opposite, the 30-year-old driver was slightly injured and taken to Minjoz hospital for check-ups. His 27-year-old passenger was more seriously injured. His vital prognosis was initially poor before his state of health improved. He was also transported to the hospital.

The road was closed in both directions during rescue operations. A diversion was then put in place by the DRI. Thirteen firefighters from the Russey, Maîche and Charquemont centers were mobilized for this intervention. A gendarmerie investigation has been opened to try to shed light on the circumstances of this tragedy.
