Dating from 1976, the Intercommunal Wastewater Treatment Union of the Haute Vallée de la Moselle is responsible for the transport, management and treatment of wastewater from the following 5 municipalities: Bussang, Fresse-sur-Moselle, Le Ménil, Le Thillot and Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle.
Located in the commune of Thillot, the wastewater treatment plant collects and treats wastewater from the 5 communes, or 7,372 connected inhabitants.
Three people work within the SEIHVM: Grégory Battaglia as a full-time technician, Jimmy Demange, technical agent for 10 hours per week and Clotilde Solgady, administrative agent for 25 hours per week.
Since 2016, the SEIHVM has invested more than 8 million euros in new infrastructure, thus making it possible to be a “modern” union in wastewater management:
– La Champagne wastewater treatment plant at the Thillot exit,
– Collector of Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle recovering wastewater from this municipality to bring it to the Le Thillot treatment plant,
– Renovation of the Ménil transfer network,
– Connection of effluent from Bussang to the Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle collector.
The deconstruction of the Bussang wastewater treatment plant and the decontamination of the site, which was commissioned in 1979 and presents numerous weaknesses due to its dilapidation, is planned for this year.
Once the wastewater treatment plant is demolished, the land will be cleared and will be “returned” to the commune of Bussang.
The work began on Wednesday November 27, 2024 with the asbestos removal and demolition of the large pool. The work is expected to last 2 weeks.
Several companies are involved in this project:
– MBJ SANITATION: suction and unloading of sludge and sand,
– IMMODIAG ADVICE: Asbestos and lead diagnostics,
– ABCDE GROUP: Recycling of sludge and sand,
– SAS RGTL: Loading and transport of sand,
– ARCHES DEMOLITION and NICOLLET: Demolition and evacuation.
– EVI: Project Manager.
The total amount of this investment is €51,600 excluding tax, subsidized up to 60% by the Rhin Meuse Water Agency and the Vosges Departmental Council.
