Traffic jams are developing at high speed on the A1 motorway In the North this Thursday, November 28 at the end of the afternoon. Big traffic jams in both directions on the A1 near Lille: an accident between two heavy goods vehicles and a breakdown
The first incident is actually an accident between two heavy goods vehiclesin the direction Lille – Parisoccurred at Templemars. One kilometer before interchange 19, the impact required neutralizing the right lane and the middle lane. An 8 km traffic jam was recorded shortly before 4 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the middle lane was reopened, a 10 km traffic jam, still increasing, was still present.
The two trucks were able to be freed around 6:45 p.m.. Traffic remains very difficult.
The second incident on the A1 is a heavy goods vehicle breakdownin the Paris – Lille direction, this time. Also shortly before 4 p.m., the truck broke down in Seclin. The right lane is neutralized, and a 9 km traffic jam is recorded. However, it was quickly repaired at 4:15 p.m., the blockage was being absorbed.
The road surveillance unit recommends absolutely avoiding the two sectors.
