ASSE: Batubinsika admits to questioning and does not underestimate Rennes

ASSE central defender Dylan Batubinsika spoke this Thursday at a press conference.

After Olivier Dall'Oglio, it was Dylan Batubinsika who presented himself this Thursday in front of the press at ASSE two days before the trip to the Stade Rennais pitch. Taken out of the eleven by Olivier Dall'Oglio against RC (0-2) and against (4-2), the Congolese central defender has regained his starting place for four matches. In front of the media, he returned to this downgrading.

“I questioned myself”

“I questioned myself after my two matches on the bench, I tried to see where I was least good and where I needed to improve to change things. It's hard to lose your place, it's hard to question yourself, especially when things aren't going well for you on the pitch. It's the trap for you when you lose confidence but it's our job, we have to experience this kind of thing since the start of our football career, we have learned to manage these situations. I didn't necessarily have to react on what I did less well but above all on what I was missing to bring something more to the team. I had to do more personally in focus and in my leadership. »

The former resident of the PSG training center also looked back on the victory against (1-0) and looked ahead to the match against . “The success against Montpellier, after a complicated match against a direct opponent, is really a good result. It allowed us to work with more serenity before Rennes. We know that Rennes are currently behind us in the standings, but above all we know that they should not be there. (…) It’s going to be a match with a lot of energy. It’s up to us to respond physically and mentally! »
