According to the testimony of a kayaker, the 62-year-old victim fell after sliding along the bank, at the greenway. Rescued by a passerby, she would then have been taken care of by the firefighters.

A bowler present not far from the river clarified: “I saw the emergency vehicles arriving, there were two or three fire and police vehicles parked. » Another witness, a fisherman, said he saw the firefighters board a small boat to rescue the victim.
Still according to our colleagues, the 62-year-old woman was hypothermic and disoriented when she was treated. She was transported by ambulance to the Manchester hospital center, in the north of the Ardennes, after an initial examination with the Samu doctor, present on the scene.
