A 14-year-old girl with a severe mental disability is said to have suffered sexual violence within the Medical-Educational Institute (IME) in (Essonne). His parents filed a complaint after discovering bruises on the inside of his thighs in early October 2024, reports The Parisian . They took her to a gynecologist who noted the absence of a hymen.

“Given her condition, she cannot have consensual sexual relations, it is impossible”assures his mother in the columns of the Ile-de- daily. Suffering from Prader-Willi syndrome, the young girl is almost mute and has the mental age of a 4-year-old child. Since the discovery of her bruises, she has not returned to the establishment which has welcomed her since 2015.

“We will not give up”

An investigation was opened after the complaint filed by the couple. While waiting for answers, the teenager's parents point the finger at the IME. “We won't give up until we know the truth”they warn. For its part, the establishment assured to stand “at the disposal of the police” so that the “truth be brought to light”.
