Every year, many SQY cities and associations mobilize for the Telethon, which will take place this year, for its 31st edition on November 29 and 30 and December 1. This edition has been brought forward compared to its usual one so as not to fall on the same weekend as the inauguration of Notre-Dame de Paris.
In Coignières, a candlelight concert is organized on November 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Espace Daudet, orchestrated by Iryna Giraudet, piano and violin teacher within the Coignières foyer club association. Accessible on free admission with free participation for the benefit of the AFM Téléthon, “this concert will be performed by young pianists, violinists and singers from Coignières,” indicates the municipality.
In Élancourt, the flagship event of this 31st edition of the Telethon is a sporting challenge. Organized by the Vivre à la Clef and Association animation de l'Agiot associations, this consists of running a team relay race for 6 hours. The start will be launched on December 1 at 10 a.m., at the Coubertin gymnasium. “Each team must complete a maximum of 2 km loop in the Coulée verte before the final whistle [à 16 h] », Explains the municipality. Guyancourt is organizing throughout the month of November, actions in favor of the Telethon such as reflexology sessions with free financial participation, on November 29, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Baquet gymnasium or a walk (for 2 euros ) scheduled for the same day from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. from the Baquet gymnasium. The highlight of this edition is an event scheduled for Saturday, November 30 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Waldeck-Rousseau pavilion. On the program: ride in a vintage car, show (with demonstrations of associations on stage and aperitif) and a concert at 8 p.m. by the Achoriny choir, at the price of 5 euros per person. In Les Clayes, stage town of Yvelines 2023, numerous events will take place on November 29 and 30, in different places in the town (Gilardi and Noiret spaces, Guimier and Bourneton gymnasiums and Carillon stadium) under the sponsorship of Jonathan Dassin, son of singer Joe Dassin. Also not to be missed, at the Allende intercommunal swimming pool, located in the town, is an event organized by the La Palme Plaisiroise diving association, on November 30 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., with apnea relay demonstration, swimming relay demonstration with fins , first-time diving (8 years minimum) and freediving (14 years minimum), and sale of cakes and drinks (from 1 euro). Diving for a good cause also in Maurepas. Meet on November 30 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Castalia aquatic center. The SQY Diving Club will offer a program with apnea relay demonstration, fin swimming relay participation, and first-time scuba divers. For the benefit of the Telethon, a contribution of 7 euros per person will be requested, then 5 euros per additional person from the same family (1 drink and 1 slice of cake included per person). In Magny-les-Hameaux, volunteers from the Zic en herbe association are waiting for you on November 29, from 7 p.m. at the Mauduit gymnasium, for a succession of various shows and activities offered for all ages. Pétanque, tennis, archery, dances, massages by professionals… the program promises to be extensive. On November 30, a precision competition open to all will take place, from 2 p.m., at the Magny Golf course, located on the Chevincourt plain. Hosted by the Vivre le Golf association in Magny, participation costs 5 euros, which will be entirely donated to the Telethon. Equipment will be loaned to participants. In Montigny, the municipality and the Montigny-le-Bretonneux Sports Association (ASMB) offer from November 29, 6 p.m. to November 30, 6 p.m., 24 hours of fun and sporting activities for the benefit of research. Meet at the Coubertin sports center on Friday for climbing and an escape game, a cheerleading demonstration, or even lightsaber initiations. Saturday, same place, but with different activities. UFC Que Choisir will host a raffle at 9 a.m. Then, the firefighters' solidarity race will stop at the scene around 11 a.m. Then it's time for a modern dance performance, sports workshops (Baby gym, karate, fencing and boxing) then a giant zumba, and a friendly pétanque competition. Without forgetting the activities taking place on both days: free throw competitions, sitting volleyball, table tennis, fluorescent orienteering, fairground and skill games, wooden games, interactive and reflex games “Back to base”, air hockey.
