The Cévennes National Park has just signed a partnership with the CPIEs of Gard and Lozère

During the last meeting of the board of directors of the Cévennes National Park, an agreement was signed with the Environmental Initiative Centers (CPIE) of and Lozère.

The board of directors signed an agreement between the public establishment of the Park and the Maison de la nature et de l'environnement – ​​Nature and environment education network of Gard (MNE RENE 30) and the Environmental education network of Lozère (RéeL 48). The objective being to strengthen the partnership initiated for several years between the three structures.

A framework for actions to be programmed

The labeling of MNE 30 and RéeL 48 as a Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives (CPIE) in 2019 allows us to see new prospects for collaboration in terms of education for sustainable development and citizen mobilization. The convention will draw a framework. “The numerous actions which, in the future will result from this, will contribute to raising awareness and greater involvement of all in favor of the preservation of our common heritage.“, declared the president of the Park, Stéphan Maurin.

The partners wish to commit together to the following actions: the educational tools developed will be the subject of presentation time. The National Park tool “Anim’malle“, a database bringing together the activities offered by the agents, as well as the associated educational materials, will be transmitted to the CPIE48 which will ensure their adaptation to its needs.

Biosphere reserves

The CPIE are associated partners of the Polliniz'Acteurs II project. This program targets farmers and elected officials in particular. Concerning sensitive natural areas (ENS), the production of booklets and the implementation of awareness-raising actions will be the subject of information sharing in order to promote consistency between the different systems.

The CPIEs will be informed and involved in the organization of the group's next meetings.pedagogy“biosphere reserves that could be organized on the territory of the Park. Citizen mobilization in favor of ecological transition and in particular that of younger generations will be at the heart of the discussions. As part of the support for tourism stakeholders engaged in the Esprit Parc national brand, the public establishment wishes to invite beneficiaries to reduce their energy consumption.

As part of the deployment of “Educational areas“in schools, the CPIEs will offer potential supporting structures a time for discussion, co-training and acculturation to the system in order to improve the support of facilitators in these projects.
