The council expressed the wish that all of the services offered by La Poste (mail, parcels and banking services) be maintained to the extent that they meet the needs of the Pluvignois and neighboring municipalities. “There have been many discussions since the downtown renovation project. The problem is often approached from an angle suggesting that it is the municipality which is requesting the departure of the current building” regrets Diane Hingray. “The perspective of La Poste is closing from the post office. It is necessary to clearly indicate that the municipality is opposed to his departure,” adds the mayor.
“La Poste’s strategy is to separate its activities. And if they want to leave, they will leave,” indicates Jean-Michel Le Cam, opposition advisor.
