Thursday, November 14, 2024, in , during the Reconversion Trophies ceremonyorganized at the Salon Nouvelle Vie Professionnelle, Emilie Morandmanager of the restaurant in Saint-Aubin-le-Dépeint (Indre-et-), was awarded national honors for her inspiring career. Jean-Michel Burroni, from Luynes, was also rewarded.

The two winners, already distinguished at the regional level during the Reconversion Trophies of Transitions Pro Centre-Val-de-Loire on September 26, were recognized among the six national winners for their success and determination in their career change.

Emilie Morand, manager of the Saint-Aubin-le-Dépeint restaurant, is the winner in the “I created my business” category. From purchasing manager, she is today manager of Ô Saint-Aubin.

In Luynes, near Fondettes, Jean-Michel Burroni is the winner in the category “I retrained after a health problem or had a disability”. He trained as a stonemason to now be a specialist educator at ESAT Les Vallées in Luynes.

A hailed success

Out of nearly 2,000 applications submitted, around fifty regional winners were proposed to the jury national. The trophies include five categories: “I changed careers”, “I created my business”, “I retrained at over 50”, “I retrained following a health concern or a disability” and “I am a company that encourages retraining”, to which is added a Special Public Prize.

Among the six winners, two work in Centre-Val-de-Loire and were supported by the Transitions Pro teams.

Emilie Morand, winner in the “ I created my business » was responsible for purchasing for professionals in the catering trade. She trained to obtain a BTS in hotel management and marketing before launching and taking over the bar-restaurant in the village of Saint-Aubin-le-Dépeint.

Her success has been praised on several occasions: she was selected for the “ 101 women of Matignon », she is also Ambassador representing the Centre-Val-de-Loire region.
