Be careful of traffic jams on the A4 and A6 this Monday, November 25 in the morning, towards Paris. Since 6:55 a.m., nearly 120 vehicles have been driving on the A4, in the east of Île-de-France and creating “a moving traffic jam in the direction of the capital”, according to the government website Sytadin. The two left lanes from Saint-Maurice towards Charenton are immobilized. A second snail operation currently brings together nearly 250 other professionals on the A6 where two out of three lanes from Chilly-Mazarin towards Wissous are closed.
These slowdowns are expected to arrive in Paris during the day since the taxi unions of the departments of Seine-et-Marne and Essonne are calling on drivers to converge towards the headquarters of Cnam, Health Insurance, located at Porte de Montreuil , in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. As during the last snail operations organized in recent months, professionals are opposed to article 30 of the 2024 Social Security finance law.
This new Health Insurance agreement plans to lower the reimbursement of taxi or any other medical vehicle to a patient who refuses to share it with another patient. For the government, this measure voted by Parliament in the fall of 2023 aims to improve the transport offer and reduce costs as well as the environmental footprint. The unions assure that this law will only reinforce the difficulties encountered by taxi drivers who already suffer from competition from VTCs.
The taxi federations must be received this afternoon at the Health Insurance headquarters according to France Bleue. At 9 a.m. this morning, traffic in Île-de-France was in the red and totaled more than 525 km, an “exceptional” situation according to Sytadin.
