The RN obtains a deputy in the first round in Gard: in the second constituency, Nicolas Meizonnet casts 20,000 more votes than in 2022 to be elected this Sunday, with 34,427 votes and 52.22% of the vote.

After its historic score of 40.42% of the votes in the European elections in the department, and two deputies sent to Brussels, the RN could hope to progress further in Gard, where it placed a first deputy, Gilbert Collard, in 2017, in the second constituency (Camargue-Vaunage).

Nicolas Meizonnet was re-elected without difficulty in the first round, with 34,427 votes and 52.22% of the vote ahead of Katy Guyot (NFP), far behind with 23.85% of the vote.

The far-right party won, in 2022, the first, third and fourth constituencies. Only the fifth constituency, historically marked on the left, and the sixth constituency where Philippe Berta, elected under the MoDem label, did not represent himself, resisted until then.

In the fifth (Cévennes), Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, LR supported by the RN, takes the lead ahead of Michel Sala (NFP) with 41.02% of the votes against 33.03%.

Nicolas Cadène distanced by 7,000 votes

On the 6th (Nîmes-Uzès), RN Sylvie Josserand came first, ahead of Nicolas Cadène (NFP) by 7,000 votes. But the immediate withdrawal of Aurélien Colson (Ensemble) from the election race this Sunday evening leaves the left a chance.

In the first constituency (Nîmes-Beaucaire), Yoann Gillet (RN) comes first, ahead of Charles Menard (NFP) and Valérie Rouverand (Ensemble).

In the 4th, acquired by the RN since 2022, the RN Pierre Meurin came close to the election in the first round, with 48.69% of the votes (33% of those registered).

In the 3rd, same configuration but with Pascale Bordes this time, who totals 47.49% of the votes. The RN is establishing itself permanently in the Gard.
