From July 8, Limoges Métropole is launching a new call for projects intended to support the takeover or creation of businesses within the 6 priority sectors of excellence in the region: electronics, microwaves & photonics, ceramics & surface treatment, water & environment, health & autonomy, sustainable meats & agri-food, digital & cybersecurity.
Who can answer?
- The project leaderswishing to create or take over a business in the Limoges Métropole area.
- Les start-up under 3 years old.
- All companies (SMEs) registered in the Directory of companies and establishments wishing to develop a new activity in the Limoges Métropole area.
Eligible projects
Projects must:
- respond to a need that is not, little or poorly covered in the territory. In the case of a business takeover, it must contribute to maintaining a strategic activity in the sector concerned.
- enroll in one of the 6 sectors of excellence: health, digital & cybersecurity, ceramics and surface treatment, electronics & photonics, water & environment, agri-food.
- lead to the creation or takeover of a business or the development of a new activity by an existing business
Support modality
- A financial endowmentcapped at €20,000 in compliance with the applicable aid scheme.
- A immersion in the local ecosystem : presentation of the main players in the sector, major accounts, clusters, financiers
- And personalized support for the project integrating monitoring by an expert structure in the sector and support for real estate and land research
- A communication on the project in the magazine “Le Métropol’”
An investment floor is set at €5,000 excluding tax The amount of eligible expenses is not capped.
Eligible expenses
All expenses enabling the completion of the selected projects (internal and external expertise, material or real estate investments, animation, R&D, intellectual property costs, personnel costs dedicated to the project, etc.).
Project selection criteria
Project leaders will have to submit an application file and will be selected based on the following criteria:
- The quality of the leader and his ability to lead the project
- Feasibility and viability of the project: robustness of the economic model
- The adequacy of the activity with the needs of sectors of excellence
- The economic, social and environmental benefits and potential jobs generated by the project
- Registration in the local ecosystem

Call for projects deadlines (3 lifts with submission of files):
- October 30, 2024 at 5 p.m.
- April 30, 2025 at 5 p.m.
- October 30 at 5 p.m.
Closing date of the call for projects: October 30, 2025 at 5 p.m. (last lift).
