This Sunday, June 30th marks the first round of early legislative elections after the dissolution of the National Assembly. Find here, from 8pm, the results in the four constituencies of Dordogne, in Périgueux, Bergerac, Sarlat and all the towns of the department.

Like all French people, the people of Périgord are called to the polls on June 30 and July 7. On Sunday, June 9, President Emmanuel Macron announced the dissolution of the National Assembly. It is now up to the voters to vote to elect the 577 occupants of the Palais Bourbon.

In Dordogne, 24 candidates have launched a lightning campaign – three weeks – hoping to win a seat in one of the department’s four constituencies.
In the department, the RN list led by Jordan Bardella won the European elections with 34.74% of the vote, far ahead of the 14.51% of the vote obtained by Raphaël Glucksmann and his Union on the Left list.

Nadine Lechon comes first in the first constituency: Périgueux / Montpon-Ménestérol

In the first constituency, Nadine Lechon (National Rally) comes in first with 40.77%. Just behind, Pascale Martin (New Popular Front) obtains 27.97%. Clément Tonon (Ensemble) also qualifies for the second round with 23.28% of the votes.

Pascale Martin, the outgoing MP, was elected in 2022 under the LFI label. Former employee of the RATP and former departmental president of the association Femmes Solidaires Pascale Martin faced six candidates from June 30: Nadine Lechon (National Rally), Clément Tonon (Horizons – Together for the Republic), Jonathan Almosnino (Workers’ Struggle), Béranger Desport-Namur (The Republicans), Antoine Coutou (Reconquest) and Stéphane Lambert (France Libre).

Triangular which takes shape in the second constituency: Bergerac / Eymet

In the second constituency, Serge Muller (National Rally) dominates with 42.71% of the votes, well ahead of Christophe Cathus (New Popular Front) who scores 28.27%. Michel Delpon (Ensemble) qualifies for the second round with 19.58% of the votes.

The constituency shifted to the far right in 2022. Serge Muller, the representative of the National Rally, created a surprise by narrowly winning in this territory over the outgoing deputy, elected in 2017, Michel Delpon.
The latter returned to battle on June 30 under the colors of the Renaissance. Also candidates in this constituency were: Christophe Cathus (PS – New Popular Front), Josie Bayle (Les Républicains) and Lise Khelfaoui (Workers’ Struggle).

The outgoing MP defeated in the third constituency: Brantôme / Nontron

In the third constituency, the outgoing MP Jean-Pierre Cubertafon (MoDem) was largely beaten by Florence Joubert (National Rally) who obtained 40.13% of the votes. He still qualified for the second round with 23.33% just behind Christelle Druillole (NFP) with 28.58% of the votes.

In the third constituency, the outgoing deputy Jean-Pierre Cubertafon, elected for the first time in 2017, is the only Périgord deputy who has succeeded in sustainably establishing Emmanuel Macron’s party in his constituency. In 2022, the second round saw a triangular between the outgoing deputy, Cyril Girardeau for Nupes and Florence Joubert for the RN.
Also candidates in this constituency: Florence Joubert (National Rally), Christelle Druillole (PS – New Popular Front), Jean-Pierre Cubertafon (Modem – Ensemble pour la République), Jacques Decoupy (Workers’ Struggle), Myriam Thomasson (Les Républicains) .

An RN-NFP duel in the fourth constituency: Sarlat-la-Canéda

The results are close in the fourth constituency. The outgoing MP Sébastien Peytavie is narrowly beaten by Dominique-Louise Marcharudon who obtains 36.23% of the votes. He qualifies for the second round with a score of 34.66%.

Sébastien Peytavie, deputy elected in 2022 with Nupes, is now labeled New Popular Front. A psychologist by profession, Sébastien Peytavie, who became the first wheelchair-bound MP to sit in the chamber, notably challenged the government on the issue of reimbursement for wheelchairs.
This June 30, he faced Dominique-Louise Marchaudon (National Rally), Jérôme Peyrat (ex Renaissance, not invested), Christophe Green-Madeo (Workers’ Struggle), Nathalie Ballerand (Reconquest), François Tourné (Together for the Republic) and Anne -Catherine Balland (The Republicans).
