Dakar, June 30 (APS) – The Association of Retirees of the Treasury of Senegal (ARTS) held its constitutive general assembly on Saturday in Dakar, at the end of which Galy Sarr was appointed head of the board of directors.

Mr Sarr’s election took place in the presence of representatives of the Minister of Civil Service and Public Service Reform, the Minister of Finance and Budget and other members of the association, which has some 31 members on its board of directors.

Coming to represent the Minister of Finance and Budget, Mor Diouf, assured the Senegalese public treasury retirees of the technical and financial support of the supervisory authority.

The representative of the Minister of Civil Service and Public Service Renewal, Aboune Diatta also echoed the same sentiment, noting that “the government of Senegal will continue to support state agents throughout their professional careers and during retirement.”

“Beyond this association, I think that we are brothers and sisters when we were at the treasure, so through this structure let’s try to perpetuate these links,” said Galy Sarr, thanking his peers “who were kind enough to bring him to the head of ARTS.”

He also called on his colleagues to work in “collegiality”.
