The Gard departmental youth council (CDJ) is now made up of 110 young elected officials, after elections in which more than 11,000 Gard secondary school students participated, which represents on average one in two secondary school students.
Two young students from Henri-Pitot college in Aramon have just been elected for two years to the Gard departmental youth council.
They applied and were chosen by their peers. They are Anaë Spagnol, fourth grade student, as delegate and Layan Ouata, fifth grade student, as deputy.
“It is now up to them to represent, consult and involve all middle school students in departmental council projects. It is also an opportunity for our young students to make their voices heard by initiating and carrying out actions that directly respond to to the needs of this generation”explains the management of the Henri-Pitot establishment.
And to conclude: “A great initiative that puts youth at the heart of public policies. Actions that undoubtedly promote cohesion between students around projects or common reflections.”
