- George Russell (Mercedes) will start in pole position ahead of Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Pierre Gasly surprising 3rd on the grid with his Alpine.
- Further on, Max Verstappen, 5th, has a good chance of being crowned world champion for the 4th time in a row. He just needed to finish ahead of his rival Lando Norris.
