This is the major exhibition of this end of year in the and it will take place at Carré d’one of the unmissable cultural sites, right in the city center of Nimes (Gard).


A first in

Mixing everything at once architecture, design et paintings as whimsical as they are multicoloredLithuanian-born American artist Aleksandra Kasuba launched her long career as an artist in the early 1970s.

It's a careful retrospective of the works of this unique designer offered by the Gard contemporary art center since Friday October 25.

In many of his works, the artist takes pleasure in multiply rounding and the confusing shapeswith for sole purpose of surprising the viewer every time.

Color, omnipresent

Driven by the strong desire to push back the priority often given to the right angle, the artist exiled in the USA has always been considered to be the pioneer in the use of textile and color.

Died in March 2019 in the United States, the artist ended her career by settling in a house with eccentric shapes, set up in the desert of New Mexico. Since then, these works have been presented in exhibitions all over the world.

This retrospective is the first in France and is an integral part of the cultural program of the Lithuania season in France.
