The installation session of comic strip artist and screenwriter Emmanuel Guibert at the Academy of Fine Arts, broadcast on YouTube, was very well attended in the Gers village, and for good reason.

The designer, who was awarded the Angoulême Grand Prix in 2020 for all of his work, then enthusiastically supported Mickaël Fourcade, at the origin of the innovative “Sensorial Organ”, allowing people with physical or mental disabilities to play a large pipe organ using gesture sensors.

Present under the Dome of the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris during the installation of Emmanuel Guilbert at the headquarters of the artist Pierre-Yves Trémois, designer, painter, engraver and sculptor who died in August 2020, Ariane Phytilis, organizer from the Salon du Livre de , and friend of Daniel Birouste who regularly stays in a family home located between Plaisance and Marciac, reports on the Actuabd site the progress of the ceremony, which was followed, rarely, by a long ovation (https://www.actuabd.com/Emmanuel-Guibert-un-pentamaitre-al-Academie-des-Beaux-Arts).

A pure moment of great emotion, which sent shivers all the way to Plaisance-du-Gers.

Please note: this Saturday, November 23, at 5 p.m., organist Michel Laramée will give the Advent Concert, baroque music with works by Bach and Buxtehude, in the church of Plaisance-du-Gers. Free entry and participation.
