Jonathan Gradit, the experienced defender of RC Lens, would interest OGC Nice during this summer transfer market.

The Aiglons will have to recruit in central defense in the coming weeks. If the captain of the Riviera team, the Brazilian Dante, extended his lease for an additional season, his comrade Jean-Clair Todibo could leave the ship before the start of the 2024-2025 season. The latter has not lacked suitors for some time. In order to strengthen the central hinge, the Nice leaders are therefore working behind the scenes to find experienced reinforcement.

Haise knows Gradit well

With this in mind, OGC Nice would have activated the trail leading to Jonathan Gradit, during the last few days, according to information from Foot Market. A key player in the Lens defense for several seasons, the 31-year-old joined the Blood and Gold in August 2019 from SM Caen. In the north of France, the central defender has established himself as a central element of the squad.

Under contract with Racing Club de Lens until 2026, Jonathan Gradit has an estimated market value of 4.5 million euros according to the specialist site Transfer market. In this case, the Nice leaders will therefore have to take out the checkbook in order to convince their Lens counterparts. If the discussions do not seem to have started between the two parties, Nice could quickly launch an offensive in order to complete the arrival of the experienced defender. The latter could be tempted to join his former coach, Franck Haise, with whom he will certainly be able to have playing time.
