2nd national hemp festival at the Château de Cherveux in Deux-Sèvres

Organized by Guillaume Dumoulin, farmer and founder of the La Sévienne cooperative, dedicated to innovative agricultural sectors, the 2e National Hemp Festival will bring together producers, processors, experts, entrepreneurs, artisans, communities and enthusiasts from all walks of life to share their common passion for this plant with a thousand virtues, celebrated during a pastoral festival. A unique opportunity to discover how hemp, often underestimated, can play a crucial role in our daily lives.

The setting of the Château de Cherveux is not insignificant, in fact it is said that Cherveux comes from the hemp that was once cultivated in the region. Cherveux and its preserved medieval castle become, for one day, symbolically the capital of hemp. Offering a magical setting conducive to the celebration of hemp and the exploration of its many applications.

The day will be punctuated by round tables led by experts who will share their knowledge and experience on hemp. These lectures will cover topics such as the rich and fascinating history of this plant, its uses in the textile industry and sustainable construction, and its benefits for health and well-being. Demonstrations will allow visitors to discover the concrete applications of hemp intended for construction. A hemp beer bar, exhibitors from all over France, local players who are working to bring about this hemp revolution, tastings and many surprises throughout the day will make this celebration unique. Festive and musical atmosphere with DJ set on Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
