Recruitment center: an increased presence in Meuse

Growing up within the Army while finding your way, finding a job in telecommunications, joining the Alat (Light Aviation of the Army)… seeing the vast communications deployed, the Army has a real need for recruitment and wishes to encourage commitment among young people.

A desire that is also seen on the ground. For several weeks, the Cirfa (Armed Forces Information and Recruitment Center) has been located on rue Bradfer in Bar-le-Duc and is open from Monday to Friday.

Before, soldiers from Cirfa from came to the Baris branch once a week. “Today, we have a Cirfa permanently established in Bar-le-Duc which extends throughout the Meuse,” explains head marshal Julien, recruitment advisor. With chief warrant officer Sébastien, antenna manager, they form the Cirfa Meuse pair. Alongside them, a non-commissioned member is dedicated to administration.

32 years old, the age limit for commitment

Among the candidates for recruitment, recruitment advisors meet in particular young people aged 17 ½ who wish to carry out military preparation, young adults who are looking for a job… “The age limit for enlisting is 32 years old”, informs the chief quartermaster Julien.

There are different levels of recruitment (without diploma, baccalaureate, bac + 3, etc.)

Offices are therefore multiplying in the department and Cirfa recruitment advisors in Bar-le-Duc have offices in several towns. “Given the mobility problems that young people in the department may encounter, it is important to reach out to them,” explains the recruitment advisor.
