Since the beginning of the 1960s, he had successively held several prestigious positions in the economic world of this territory. He had thus been President of the local CCI during a decade. He then remained, for many years, one of the Vice-Presidents. He was also a member of the office.

He then became President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the former Languedoc-Roussillon region. in 1986. A position he held until spring 1994.

“Henri Cassan was a man of conviction and values. He was able to bring his expertise to the Narbonne CCI of1966 to 2000», Explains Louis Madaule, the current President of the Chamber.
