The army tests its ground-to-air defense in Nancy-Ochey

Since this Wednesday, -Ochey air base 133 (Meurthe-et-) has been hosting a full-scale defense exercise which involves the four main ground-air defense bases in .

As our colleagues from France 3 indicate, the scenario is simple: an attack on a neighboring air base by different types of aircraft. The aim of the exercise is to react as quickly as possible by deploying personnel and aircraft from Nancy-Ochey.

Preparation for future conflicts

The exercise is based on coordination between weapons systems and latest generation radars. One of the key elements of this management is the CMD3D (Defence Management Center in the 3rd dimension), which supervises and coordinates all responses to threats received. Through this center, operators can quickly identify enemy targets and select the best defense system.

This maneuver is part of a framework of preparation for high intensity conflicts and follows previous mobilizations of ground-air defense bases, notably during the Olympic Games. The goal is to maintain a high level of vigilance and maximum efficiency in the face of aerial threats.
