Based on the data from the Road Safety Department for the first quarter of 2024, a ranking of the French departments where the driving test is best passed on the first attempt has just been established. Guadeloupe is among the worst performers in France in driving test results.

With just over 32%, Guadeloupe occupies first place among the worst performing departments in this area. Just under one in three candidates manage to obtain their driving licence on the first attempt in the archipelago.

An average which nevertheless hides many disparities. Since in detail, we find a driving school in Capesterre Belle-Eau which displays a little more than 48% success on the first pass. This is also the best rate in the region.

Two other Saint-Anne brands follow closely with 47.62% and 45.45% success rates respectively.

Conversely, it is a driving school from Les Abymes which occupies last place in the territorial ranking with just under 29% success rate (28.57%). The establishment in question is placed at the bottom of the national ranking. It is the 4602nd structure out of the 4677 driving schools which presented at least 20 candidates for a first license test during this first quarter of 2024.

If we broaden the spectrum, Guyana comes in second position behind Guadeloupe with an average rate of 44%.
That’s still 12 points more than Guadeloupe.

Martinique, on the other hand, has a rate much closer to the national average with 62% success.

It is the Hautes-Alpes which occupy first place in the ranking with a rate of almost 76%.
