Casablanca – The strengthening of economic cooperation between Morocco and Poland was at the center of a meeting, held Thursday in Casablanca, at the initiative of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), with the participation of a large Polish delegation led by the vice-president of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, Michał Krawczyk.

This meeting made it possible to explore new avenues of collaboration in strategic sectors, in order to boost bilateral trade.

During this meeting, the Deputy Director General of the CGEM, Samia Terhraz, highlighted the importance of the historic relations between the two countries, highlighting the potential for cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, finance, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, mining, construction and industry.

Insisting on the possibility of doubling current bilateral trade, Ms. Terhraz highlighted Morocco’s strategic role as an economic hub and gateway to Africa, thanks to its industrial performance, its investments in renewable energies and its modern infrastructure.

For his part, Mr. Krawczyk indicated that this meeting constitutes an essential platform for building bridges between the two nations, underlining the strategic position of Morocco as an access point to African markets, thus making it possible to develop synergies in areas such as agriculture, energy and advanced technologies.

Mr. Krawczyk also presented Poland as a key player in innovative industries, raising opportunities for collaboration in automobiles, renewable energy and pharmaceuticals.

The president of the Morocco-Poland Business Council, Abdelilah Hifdi, for his part, highlighted the historic and exemplary relations between Morocco and Poland while highlighting the significant increase in trade in recent years.

For the charge d’affaires at the Polish Embassy in Rabat, Zbigniew Chmura, he spoke of the involvement of Polish companies in sectors such as agricultural exports and cosmetics in Morocco.

The meeting was marked by a detailed presentation of the Polish Export Promotion Agency, which focused on priority sectors and support initiatives for Polish companies wishing to establish themselves in Morocco.
