Cyprus: the Blues return to action this evening at 6 p.m.!

About a hundred days after the end of the Olympic Games, the French basketball team is back to play tricks, especially on the teams that were a little slammed on the ground, in all friendship and with respect of course.

We're going back! Come on !

After two fairly quiet victories last February against Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Blues are heading back to attack Europe, at least qualifying for the Euro next September. For the moment, and this should not change, the EDF is well placed at the top of its group.

What changes, however, almost 100%? The squad which will play this evening in Nicosia, and even its coach for that matter since this Cyprus – will be the opportunity to see Frédéric Fauthoux at work for the first time on the bench of the French Team. After 15 years of very good and loyal service as selector and coach of the Blues, Vincent Collet left his place and it is therefore the coach of JL Bourg who succeeds him. At his command, new faces obviously, starting with the highly anticipated Nolan Traoré and Noa Essengue, projected to the heights of the next Draft to perpetuate the French tradition of recent years. Andrew Albicy is the only Olympic medalist in the group (remember: no NBA or EuroLeague players in the group), Paul Lacombe and Nicolas Lang will bring their experience while Brice Dessert will try to build on his current great form (best player of the championship in October).

7 p.m. in Nicosia, 6 p.m. in France. Match available on DAZN and… on our networks, because we are obviously going to monitor it closely and tell you about this match in our own way. To appreciate the beginnings of Petitou, Nolan, Noa and Brice, and quite simply… because it's good to see them again, our little Blues.
