A young 19-year-old driver suffered an understandable state of shock after hitting the rear of a vehicle that braked suddenly in front of him on Boulevard de la Concorde Est, before he swerved the wheel and his car is not found on the side.

The spectacular accident took place around 5:17 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, June 27, at the corner of Rue des Cormiers, requiring the intervention of firefighters and their extrication tools.

Arriving on site at 5:21 p.m., the first of the four Laval Fire Department units called for the intervention, namely 14 firefighters, noticed that a Honda vehicle had overturned on its side after violently hitting the right rear of a Hyundai car containing a 24-year-old driver and his 25-year-old passenger.

With the support of patrol officers from the Laval Police Department ensuring security at the scene, the firefighters managed to quickly get the young man out of his vehicle, handing him over to the care of Urgences-Santé paramedics at around 5:24 p.m.

The young passenger in the other car involved also suffered very minor injuries, namely neck pain.
